The Punt Institute, Cultural and Archaeo-Anthropological Research Institute, represents the Addoun University’s efforts and values toward the understanding and preservation of Somalian cultural and historical heritage, whose richness and diversity contributes to strengthen Somali society and identity.
Mission
The mission of the Punt Institute is to promote archaeological, anthropological and historical research in Somalia. As such, the Punt Institute also supports local and international initiatives focused on the valorization and preservation of Somali cultural heritage. Furthermore, the Punt Institute aims to deliver sustainable development solutions to the population to foster peace-building, cultural diplomacy, reconciliation and good governance through teaching, innovation and research.
